It is off-white to light brown sterile suspension supplied in 200mg/8ml single dose glass vial.
Each mL contains 25 mg of phospholipids suspended in 0.9% sodium chloride solution.

Mechanism of Action of Survanta 25mg/ml (Beractant Intrathecal Suspension) Injection:
It is designed to mimic surface-tension lowering properties of natural lung surfactant.
This is achieved by reducing the surface tension on alveolar surfaces during respiration and stabilizing alveoli against collapse at resting transpulmonary pressures.

Administration of Survanta 25mg/ml (Beractant Intrathecal Suspension) Injection:
It is a 8ml single dose sterile suspension vial.
It should be administered via the endotracheopulmonary route.
Do not self-medicate the therapy.
Use it under medical supervision only.

Therapeutic Use of Survanta 25mg/ml (Beractant Intrathecal Suspension) Injection:
It is indicated for prevention and treatment (“rescue”) of Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS) (hyaline membrane disease) in premature infants.

Lactating Mothers:
It is also unsafe to use while breastfeeding.
